you've already seen your answer over the past 6 months or so, the depreciation rate on Z32's has picked up quite a bit. Generally, there is a stepwise decrease in the value of an older model when a newer one is released. The fact that there hasn't been a Z car in the U.S. since 1996 has, if anything, kept resale values since then much higher than they would have been if there had been a new model introduced in 1997. Don't believe it? Check out the resale values for 1989 Z31's and compare them against the 1989/90 Z32. Them's the breaks. If you enjoy the z32, the resale value shouldn't matter as much as the fun you experience driving it. Mass-produced cars certainly aren't investment vehicles.
